December 5, 1929, Mr. George Masa, 12 Church Street, Asheville, N. C. Dear Georges ffhile Mr. Milner and I are sorry that you and Mr, Kephart did not oome on to Atlanta the other day, it la probably best, because the weather was bitter cold and otherwise disagreeable, I hope, however, that yon can make the trip real soon, possibly this week end. It will, however, be impossible to have Mr. Bonnell Stone of Blairsville join us this week end, as he is attending some sort of a conservation meeting in South Georgia, and will go dir etly from there to the Tech-Georgia gam© at Athens on Saturday, We were particularly anxious that he be present, because, on account of the nature of his work, he has so much in common with Mr. Kephart, It night also be possible to have present with us Mr, E. B. Stone, of Gainesville, Ga., who is connected with the State Forestry Department, and, as I understand, has had direct charge of the marking of the Appalachian Trail in Georgia, The visit of Mr, Kephart to Tate Mountain Estates is considered by us a rather signal event, and we naturally want to make the most of it and provide the best possible entertainment• As requested, I am sending you herewith a copy of the November issue of the Georgia Highway map, I am also enclosing an advance copy of a letter which we will mail to our members within the next few days. You will see that under the paragraph headed "Appalachian Trail" mention is mad© of Mr, Kephart*s intended visit. Please keep us advised as to your plans and let us know as far in advance as possible when you expect to visit Craerow Cabin, and what route you will take in reaching the property.
