This postcard of Champion Fibre Company mill in Canton, North Carolina looking northeast shows the boiler house. The postcard is written by E. B. E. to Mr. R. B. Edgar in Woodbridge, New Jersey, August 1907. E. B. E., or Ellis B. Edgar, is writing from Canton to his brother Ralph B. Edgar. Their father, Ellis F. Edgar, was an inventor of boiler machinery, and as indicated by E. B. E. pointing out "our" boilers, it is believed that the boilers of the mill were supplied and installed by the Edgar Boiler Company of New York City, the manufacturer of Ellis F. Edgar's boilers and furnaces.
