  • THE «i- •-#■ Hazel Creek -»* Mr. Jim Crisp has moved his family to Andrews, where he will make his home. He has worked for nearly thirteen years with this Company. Mr. Roy Crisp and his family spent the Christmas holidays at Canton, N. C„ returning to Proctor Dec. 26th. Among the parties who were out of town to spend the holidays were Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Guffey and Herbert Allen, who went to Helen, Ga.; Superintendent E. B. McCollum to Franklin, N. C.; John Franklin to Lenoir, and Walter Wiggins to Bryson City, N. C. Messrs. Arch Bateman, Ham Queen and Pearl Medlin of Kitchenville, N. C.i were Proctor visitors during the holidays. Dec. 26th and 27th were the coldest days in this section. All water pipes were frozen, Hazel Creek was covered with thick, ice, most of the people were kept indoors but some went hunting and some ventured out to see the "movies." We had a good show Dec. 26th at the theatre, and a good crowd. "Shooting Square" and "Vacation Time" were the pictures shown. The Proctor graded school was closed Dec. 18th for the holidays and will reopen on January 4th. ■■:■■■■:.■-] he„ y°""gest trio in the "Ritter Fam- "y- Bill and Rath Craddock and Vio- let Bryant. We understand that he expects to leave Hazel Creek and move his family there in the near future. I AM WHAT I AM I am superior to any Compensation law that can be enacted. I absolutely prevent physical suffering. I keep mental anguish out of the family circle. I am the key to the greatest Brother to Brother movement. I am the best investment on the market. I pay the largest dividends of any investment. I am a joy to the Company, the worker and the physician. I am the most easily secured commodity in the world. I am SAFETY FIRST. —W. Steel Bryan. HEAVENLY REPARTEE "Well, Woodrow." said Moses, '"they don't seem to be treating your Fourteen Points very kindly down below." Woodrow: "Not so well, but take a look at what they are doing to your Ten Commandments." SAFETY FIRST Non-observance of safety is a sure sign of a lack of good judgment. •■*r Beaver -** Our Mill Foreman, Mr. Harry Hall has installed a new radio in his home.
