From Cove Mountain Peak there is a magnificent view with Blanket Mt. and Long Arm Ridge in the foreground, the Main Divide of Smoky just beyond, Wear's Valley beneath and Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Knoxville off in the distance. After enjoying the view from Cove Mountain Peak, hikers retrace their steps. Those taking the ten mile hike continue down the main divide of Cove Mountain to Mt. Harrison, returning to the highway by way of Tom Campbell's Cabm and Goodrow Cottage, coming out where LeConte Creek flows into Little Pigeon River. Those taking the eight mile hike omit the trip to high peak", and turn right instead of left on reaching Cove Mountain, proceeding down the divide to Mt. Harrison. . Those taking the six mile hike retrace then- steps down the Manon Lead to Fighting Creek Gap. Those making this trip can have any length hike they desire with worthwhile views on the shortest of the hikes. Bring your friends and prospective members on this one. All new members are especially invited1. Leave Dixie System at 8 a.m.; bring lunch and canteen. Round trip hiking distance, as you desire it—4, 6, 8, or 10 miles.
