  • pleasure, to hear exactly what makes a camper "the welcome guest of an absent host, or a vandal of present opportunity". Place: the delightfully secluded and colorful farm of the Boy Scouts, near Powell's Station 12 miles from the heart of Knoxville. In June this spot abounds with all the natural beauties that hikers love; several good springs provide an abundance of fresh water; and fine camp sites lie within a few yards. It is truly a great place for our purpose, and a 20 minute ride will take you there. The night program starts about 8 o'clock. Drive out North Central Avenue to the Clinton Pike, take the right hand road at the forks by the quarry in Sharps Gap as if you were going to Inskip. Keep this road which leads past Sterchi's Dairy Farm, until you reach the road which turns left leading to Powell's about 10 miles from town. Do not turn, however, but read your speedometer, and drive straight ahead for 1.4 miles, and slow up, turn sharply to the right on a gravel road. Drive a short 32
