  • This mid-1920s booklet entitled 'General Plan of Biltmore Forest at Biltmore, N.C.' was produced for the Town of Biltmore Forest, a planned residential community formed from lands of the Biltmore Estate and being developed by the Biltmore Estate Company. The Town of Biltmore Forest was incorporated in 1923. The booklet contained a list of tracts, requirements for new residences, and a fold-out map of the town. Only the cover and the map are scanned here. An outline of the Biltmore House, completed in 1895, and its planned gardens is visible in the top center of the map. The map's 'Legend' lists Public and Private Parks, Land Sold, Land Unsold, Buildings, Tentative Development, and Coordinate Lines Mile.
