City of Raleigh March the 18, 1863 Tincy Huntley I write you a few lines in inform you of my present situation. I am well and in the City of Raleigh in a hotel. We never got here till this morning. We had to stay at Charlotte one day and night. By missing the connection we will leave here tonight at midnight for Old Virginia. I have got my bounty today. I am going to send 20 dollars in this letter. Tell Pap that I went into Holden's office today and stayed some time and conversed. He was dressed quite ordinary, large pants, short coat, and is dark complected, small forehead, but a devilish keen eye. This is a nice day here. Tell Pap that Dickerson has to have an agent in every Captain Company
