  • You spoke of summer clothing. I cannot tell yet whether I will want any from home or not. If we draw any, I shan't want any but if the government don't find us some I shall want a shirt or two and some drawers and maybe a pair of pants. But I think we will draw. I will know all about it by the time I write my next letter and will let you know. I want you to write as often as you can. I would like to be at home and get some milk and butter. I crave that more than any thing else. I am worn out on mut. I went but yesterday evening and bought me a quart of sweet milk. It hope me very much. I think if I could get milk and butter that I would get fat. I have not seen Tolliver Hughes in about six weeks. He is at Goldsboro in the hospital, but I heard from him the other day and he was mending. You must excuse bad writing for I have taken no pains. Write soon G. J. Huntley
