  • be happy both in this life and that to come but it cant be so; but how consoling, that even through firey (sic) tryals (sic) we find grace sufficient to bear them all though they be very hard. I feel Sorry that your health is failing and that you are tired of town, for I fear that you are destined to live in town the remainder of your life. you cant tell me one thing about trouble with the children about going, and I am sorry to say that you will find it will be worse as Mary gets larger I have much more trouble now than when they were less. O how I wish I could be with you and she next week hope you will have a good time and enjoy it fully. Tell Sue how much I wish to see her and to be strict with Maud while under her care. I expect to see a time with her when she gets home
