In everything we have undertaken she, :n her far-sighted way. has helped us nil in the gaps with the beautiful things that make the whole more perfect. It matters not what the problem is, it may be great or it may be small, we like to take it to her, I'm- we know that she will understand. She doesn't start us down our paths alone, but she goes with us helping us over the rough places in every way that she can, We, the Seniors, ntror many thanks to our Sponsor, Miss Craves, for her encouragemi nt and help in planning all of our works. Perhaps he holds highest office in the class; at least he holds the highest place in our hearts. In a way, he is symbolic of the Senior class. When he was chosen to fill this honorable position, he was just able to sit alone. Since that time, he has grown in stature and mind. He has acquired muih wordly wisdom and can walk alone. These are your first steps, and the Seniors wish for you that they, and the many others that will follow, may lead toward success, happiness, and health for you. "Dear Brutus" To Be Presented Under the able direction of Miss Graves and Dean Bird, we are sure that the Commencement play, Dear Brutus, will be a success. Dear Brutus is a three act comedy by J. M. Barrie. Like all of his other works, it is fanciful and artistic. The theme might well be stated in two lines from Whittier's "Maud Muller." "For of all sad words of tongue The saddest are these: It might have been." Barrie's way of dealing with his "might have been" makes one laugh rather than cry, for his method is fanciful and humorous. The cast is composed of very capable students who have proved to be the ones whom Barrie would have chosen for his actors. They are as follows: .... Alice Dearth Selma Reid Broome Mrs. Coade Madge Stallings Lady Caroline Lace McLean Mabel Purdie Elise Hunter Joanna Carolyn Allen Margaret Jessie Moody Mr. Dearth Beaman Kelley Mr. Coade Reece Holladay Mr. Purdie Conley Rogers Lob Joe Hays Matey James Osborne
