Encyclopedia Britannica Mr. Kephart's office, library, and camping outfit were in the Wilhide building in Bryson City, N. C, at the time of his death. I secured a room for storage with the Western Carolina Telephone Company for two years. Since that time this library, etc., have been stored in the building of the Nantahala Power & Light Company in-Bryson City, F.   • This report of J. E. Coburn, administrator in the Superior Court of Swain County, North Carolina explains the disposition of the estate of Horace Kephart. Horace Kephart (1862-1931) was a noted naturalist, woodsman, journalist, and author and promoter of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. He died unexpectedly in a car accident in 1931.
