  • This report of J. E. Coburn, administrator in the Superior Court of Swain County, North Carolina explains the disposition of the estate of Horace Kephart. Horace Kephart (1862-1931) was a noted naturalist, woodsman, journalist, and author and promoter of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. He died unexpectedly in a car accident in 1931.
