Could, New York City, «nyt0ear Miss couid:- The Appalachian National Park Association, organized in October 1899, having for its object the establishment by the National Government of a great forest reserve or national park in the Southern Appalachian mountains. Trie interest in the movement has been wide-sprecd and the success far "beyond our expectations. We enclose herewith printed matter which will give you a general idea of the scope of the movement and,; the progress it has made. Friends of the movement in Congress say that -i-h would have passed at this session had it not been crowded out by the regular appropriation bills.
