E. Bird, Acting President, Western Carolina Teachers College, Cullowhee, N. C. You will find that Professor Bird advises that the Horace Kephart collection is now available to the Park Service under certain conditions which he describes. In order that no time may be lost, it is suggested that you arrange to visit Professor Bird and to discuss with him the conditions which the Trustees of the collection have in mind. It is my sincere hope that arrangements can be made at this time whereby the Park Service can take charge of the collection. Your keeping us advised in this office as to developments will be appreciated. Cordially yours, enel C^(-^L^<^^Ci2--«-p CER:ea Chas. E. Ray, Chairman
