Sirs Enclosed herewith is an editorial "dated November 6th from the Jackson County Journal, published at Sylva, in the mountains of Western North Carolina, The editor and publisher is my friend Dan Tompkins, a world war veteran. The heart and ideals of America are held most tenaciously by the folks in the country. and are expressed most clearly by the editors of country newspapers. In the country of America, away from its cities, will be found the rampart which no force contrary to American Ideals can subdue.
