  • Kinloch, Mo. May 10 1898 Mr. Horace Kephart. Mercantile Library St. Louis, Mo. Friend Kephart I am in receipt of yours of the 9th. if there is a chance for active service and it is possible for me to make business arrangements to get away will join this company of yours. Any way I think I shall drill with you for a while though am not certain I can get in next Friday. what cars do you take to reach Neumeyers Hall? Where do you be- gin drilling and when is it over? I may be out at Creve Coeur Lake next Sunday but have [illegible] [week] an engagement that will most likely prevent my attending the shoot.
